The Gibus range of awnings are designed to be very strong and yet have sleek compact cassettes.
There are 7 awnings in the full cassette range, however the most popular are the Duck and Didue. Gibus Awnings are manufactured to meet or exceed class standards making them the ideal awnings for use in the UK’s unpredictable weather conditions.
The fabrics have been designed to eliminate the dazzle and heat, and will filter a minimum 90% of the sun’s harmful UV rays.
- The Duck is available up to a width of 5.9m and a projection of 3m.
- The Didue is available up to a width of 7.1m and a projection of 3.5m.
- Fully cassetted design protects both fabric and mechanism from the elements and retracts into a neat stylish cassette.
- Gibus awnings achieve the maximum classification in awning standards relating to strength Class 2 in the majority of its available sizes.
- These awnings allow you to span large open or glazed areas due to its design and strength in the end fix brackets.
- Over 60 Acrylic fabric choices which have been designed and manufactured specifically for use on awning systems, and will provide years of trouble free use.
Operation
Both Manual or Electric operation is available for the Duck and Electric only for the Didue. The electric operation comes with Somfy remote controlled tubular motor housed within the barrel of the awning and a neat contemporary handset.
Options

Electric awnings can be automated with a wind sensor to retract the awning safely when the wind reaches a predetermined level.
This can be taken one step further with a sun and wind sensor, meaning the awning automatically extends by responding to the light from the sun.

- Manufactured in accordance to standard in strength, resistance and safety required to reach Class II within European regulation EN13561, withstanding forces equivalent to Beaufort 5.
