School Canopies
School Canopies in theory are just like canopies that you would find anywhere else – they provide shade and shelter from rain and sun.
BUT, those of us who know and specialise in School Canopies, know that is only a small part of the story and that is what will set a Schools-specialist apart from the rest.
No two School Canopies are the same and like the schools, are unique to their individual need, specific use and requirement. This makes supplying and installing School Canopies different from anything else we do.
School Canopies mainly come from the Fixed Roof ranges although we have occasionally installed a retractable canopy.
Fixed Roof Structure
Our fixed roof systems are the most cost-effective way of covering larger areas. There is a choice of a pitched structure with a polycarbonate or a flat structure with a tensioned PVC fabric roof.
Each of the designs has a place in our range and this is usually determined by the application and the budget.
Pitched Structure
A pitched structure is a great way to cover an area outside a building. These are especially suitable for use in a domestic setting and most especially for use in the Education sector.
They feature a powder coated aluminium structure for ease of maintenance and a polycarbonate roof as we do not recommend glass for any educational setting.
Generally maximum projection from the building is 5m.
Flat Structure with PVC Roof
These structures are very unusual in the canopy market. They feature an aluminium frame however the roof is a tensioned PVC skin. This means that the roof is shaped and able to withstand winds that traditional marquees can’t. The Qube was designed specifically for the education sector.
Qube
The Qube is a heavy duty structure designed specifically for the Education sector.
It features a robust aluminium frame with a heavy tensioned PVC fabric roof. It has a maximum width and projection of 6m per single frame.
Retractable Roller Walls
Our retractable roller walls are designed to allow you to enclose an area to reduce the ingress of wind and rain. They can be fitted to any of our structures and can be retro-fitted to an existing garden structure, covered walkway or entertaining area.
The roller walls feature permanently installed side guides which retain the edges of the cloth to provide strength and to minimise movement. The side guides also support the upper roller cassette into which the walls retract.
Post Protection
Every school and nursery needs to protect the children from harm. We can supply post protection pads which will enable you to enclose canopy posts, roof support beams, fence edges, building columns and anything that projects into your space, creating a safe environment.
Post protection pads can be made to any size to suit your individual requirement, and can have one, two, three or more commonly – four sides.
